My Ninja and a Summer Smoothie

Hello There,

I hope you’re enjoying summer as much as I am. I would like to freeze time right about now. I want to just sit back and soak it up.

We enjoyed a nice day at the beach yesterday. I could live there everyday 🙂

A couple of weeks ago, I upgraded to a Ninja blender. It was a very exciting day!

For the longest time, I wanted a vitamix but the cost wasn’t realistic. Even the base model. So when I discovered the ninja at a fraction of the price, I was sold.

So far I’m loving making all my smoothies in this thing. It’s a world of difference . In my old blender I’d have to put a little bit at a time or else it would get stuck. Not this thing. At 1500 watts, it’s pretty powerful.

Heres a refreshing summer recipe for you:

1 cup coconut water

1/2 cup blueberries

1 cup sliced peaches

1 Tbs. chopped mint

1 1/2 Tbs. lime juice

1 cup very ripe sliced banana

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Recipe originally from here

Note: I didn’t add enough coconut water in my recipe because I decided to use the smaller blender cup and didn’t want it to overflow. So it came out rather thick. I’m sure it would have been better had I added more water. Live and learn.

Because mine came out so thick I decided to use some to make frozen pops for the kids 🙂

Until next time.
