Feeling Better

Hi How are you? I’m happy to say I’m feeling better than the last time I was here. If you missed my last post, you read it here.  I don’t often get sick but this time around it hit me good. That was two weeks ago. As you can see I’m still playing catch up. I started feeling better the next day which came just in time for my kids spring break. The first day of their break we spent the day home so I could rest, The next day we went to the mall since I wasn’t 100% I let my daughter shop while my son and I sat around and drank smoothies from Jamba Juice 🙂 IMG_9156I had the apple and greens while he had strawberry whirl. Green Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie

This smoothie is beyond delicious. With peanut butter and banana you don’t even taste the spinach

I always have a smoothie after my workouts but I never want it boring. I like to think of it as a little treat after 🙂


Handful of Spinach
1 Frozen Banana
1 Tbs of Peanut Butter
1 scoop of Sun Warrior Protein Vanilla
Almond milk

Blend and Enjoy!


Green Dream Smoothie


Happy Friday!

Just dropping in real quick to share a simple smoothie recipe I had after my workout this morning.

It’s called green dream smoothie. I originally found it on Tara Stiles website. I used the same ingredients but added some vegan protein to mine.

All you need is:

A handful of spinach
1 frozen banana
Almond milk
1 scoop of sun warrior protein

Blend and enjoy

Start your day right


Last year I gave up the coffee habit and replaced it with hot lemon water and a glowing green smoothie from Kimberly Snyder’s Beauty Detox Foods book. It wasn’t the easiest transition for me but now I’m hooked. I wake up every morning to a cup of hot lemon water and about 30 minutes later I’ll have the green smoothie. I can’t go a day without it. This morning ritual is so detoxifying. You’ll feel a difference in the way you look and feel! Here’s the recipe:

Green Smoothie

Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green Smoothie Recipe:

1½-2 cups  water
¾ pound organic romaine lettuce, rough chopped, about 1 head
½ head large bunch or ¾ small bunch organic spinach
3-4 organic celery stalks, halved
1 organic apple, cored, seeded, quartered
1 organic pear, cored, seeded, quartered
1 organic banana, peeled
½ fresh organic lemon, peeled, seeded

Place water, romaine, spinach, celery, and optional ingredients, if using, into the Blender in the order listed and secure lid.
Blend for 30 seconds or until smooth. Stop machine and remove lid.
Add apple, pear, banana and lemon to the blender in the order listed and secure lid.
Blend for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
Serving size: 7½ c

Note: I make my green smoothie without the lemon. My kids don’t like it 😦

To save time in the morning, I make a large batch on the weekends and store them in mason jars in the fridge.
